If so, can I ask a favour? Could you please pop along to your Computer Science faculty (if you're not already there) and find out what programming languages they teach you these days during a Computer Science degree?

I need to know what they are...

What (if any) IDE do you use at Uni?

Java, C++

Java here too.

We also do a little SPIM to get the basics of assembly code, but that's about it.

Postscript and a couple others come up in a few topics, but only the general workings rather than any serious depth. I've graduated with a first, and the only language I would be comfortable claiming I 'know' as a result of the course is Java.

Oh and they teach C to give the idea of a low level language but its only the basics.
