If so, can I ask a favour? Could you please pop along to your Computer Science faculty (if you're not already there) and find out what programming languages they teach you these days during a Computer Science degree?

I need to know what they are...

I don't do drugs (apart from alcohol) and I'm at Uni. Some people I know stink of weed when they come in, and it shows in their work. Losers.

The only person at uni who doesn't do drugs is the loud cokney who always goes on about how many drugs that he takes.

UWE, Bristol.

Doing an Access course this year just for a laugh, then hopefully I'll know for sure by March whether to go for:

BSc Computer Science
BSc Software Engineering
or
BSc Computing for Real-Time Systems

After that, one of these:

I used to get that the morning after spending an evening revising for an exam.

(So not often)

Where are you doing the BSc, anyway? I'm guessing Bristol, unless you're intending to slum things out in the sorts of accomodation typically rented to students.

My course did Ada in the first year, before switching to predominantly C++. That's all changed now though, they've moved to Java over C++, probably because it's easier.

Thanks for the responses, I've now got a rough idea of what I'll be facing next year when I do a BSc.

I get this mental image of Neo waking up and saying:
