I don't think it's fair to say consoles 'die', they merely go into retirement from being sold! As long as there's electricity, then we all can play wonders from the past, but do we?

I was thinking 'why does everyone say Dreamcast is dead?'. when it clearly isn't - there's only around 7million, but that's enough consoles to continue making games for, but there re a lot of consoles that have clearly gone under the water and haven't yet risen.

Where's your MasterSystem/Nes? What adventure is your MegaDrive?SNES on? is everyone REALLY using their Saturn's as a doorstop? I don't think so. Maybe, just maybe, you've placed them where no one can see them, perhaps in the loft or in the freezer (maybe not...), but when you think back to the games that you were playing on these old formats, it's clear that the gameplay surpasses anything today!

Go on, take out space invaders! Wipe the dust off you Amiga or Commadore; find that Sonic game from your Master System (oh wait, it was built in!)! I think it's a crying shame that we should be expected to be playing 'modern day' machines, yes they are also very good, but many lack originality. The best ideas are the simplest, and so Pacman should be played by everyone, right now! The trouble with new games is that many consist of mindless shooting and stabbing and fightin - sure that's fun, but with games like Lemmings and Pac-Man and alike, you can actually be learning when you're playing, and that in my view is a good thing.

Anyway, get Sega Rally out once more and beat my challenge time of 50.12 seconds on the desert track with the Lancia Stratos, be the first person to complete Pac Man and then take a picture of the final screen - what ever you do, just don't ignore the old ones - they're the best.

I'm not sure wether an N64 ranks as an Nostaga piece yet? :)...

Why not stick an add on an auction site... then if you get an offer, buy the machine and post it off to the buyer?

If you wanted to go to the trouble... you could probably sell the systems boxed for at least 50 quid a piece to nostaga freaks with cash to burn?

I firmly believe in supporting Special Reserve, not because their prices are getting higher and higher...:o), but because they have provided me with a load of games, and I wouldn't tell of anywhere that you could get games cheaper but as these are Saturn games then I will tell.

If any of you live anywhere near Birmingham....NOT WALES...(No Offence) but if you know the Virgin Megastore, well under there is a massive gaming warez type shop that has loads of AMERICAN N64 games and some passports BUT, regardless, they have about 6 Sega Saturns for sale and I COULD get one for £24.99, is it worth it, I know about all the sentimental value and all but I would like a few good games as well, the thing is, all the games from the Saturn that are for sale for £4 are sports games, and old Sports games suck, I mean RPG's okay and Adventure games...fair enough, but those crappy blocky sports games aren't good enough!

Anyway, it is called Gameunderground or something and there is another one in the pallasades that sells all consoles really cheap BUT they are second hand and not really cheap enough and to be honest you CAN get them cheaper on this site. But I would like to know about the Saturn...they also have SNES's for £20 with a pad and all the SNES games are about £5-10...they also have Hey You, Pikachu but that is a US import for £84.95...with NO N64 Passport...*gulp*!

Anyhoo.....RSVP

Good luck with metal slug!

Panzer Dragoon 2 is easier. I think my lovely local games shop (which has been mentioned by me in these esteemed pages many a time) has it for £15, among other things. The town where I work still has a few Saturn games for £4 each in Choices and I've seen a load of them in another shop, but I'm keeping that one to myself until I've found some money!

Good Answer, Ive been looking for a few Staurn games namely

Baku, Baku Animal
Panser Dragoon 2
and
Metal Slug

but havent had any luck getting them, all the stock of old Saturn games has dissapeared completely from SR. Although I think they still have some bits and bobs for the Amiga and Atari hanging around!
