Same as the RAW thread. You all seem to think it's a good idea so I made a smackdown thread. Just discuss what happens on smackdown, week in, week out. Remember NO SPOILERS but if you really have to post one, make sure you give everyone a chance to watch the show.

That's not true Tazz. The only reason that they showed the Summerslam match was because Smackdown was 1 hour 30 minutes in America because UPN were debuting a new programme. They showed the Summerslam match to fill the 2 hours for everywhere else that shows Smackdown, for instance, Canada and the UK.

Remember Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XII)? Rock vs. Triple H? Both hour long matches with only two wrestlers involved and both classics. Any speculation as to how a 60 minute ironman match would be pulled off on SmackDown, just to let y'all know now, SmackDown is a 2 hour show, and they're pretty desperate to fill up the full two hours. Last week, they had to use up most of it by replaying a whole match from SummerSlam. For shame.

I have never seen an Iron man match

Have you ever seen an Iron Man match?! :D Boring...No. Well, unless you're putting boring wrestlers in the match but thats just a whole different story...

How will they pull off a whole hour of one match? Its ok with the royal rumble but with just 2 wretlers...won't it get...boring?

First of all I would finally like to say, rock on to Cena and Eddie for a full on hardcore bout. In response to Lipe saying that Vince should leave SmackDown, I am in complete contradiction of this statement as Vince has one of the most charismatic, ego-centric and hardcore personalities this business has ever had. What's more, he owns the damn thing and keeps it running. No matter what YOU all think of his writing, I think he's pretty good at recognising guys who have earned respect and guys who will earn respect, provided they wait patiently.

...nuff said.

My guess would be to expect interferance from Undertaker and A-Train after 20 minutes.

Yeah, how is the Ironman Match actually going to work? 1 hour of one match on smackdown? If it was a PPV then maybe...

RAW is better then Smackdown for one reason and one reason only.

I agree smackdown and raw main events have gone down hill next week its going to be a 60 min iron man match which is to long and on raw its always evolution in the main event try someone else.
