According to a statement on his official website at Icons.com, Dennis Bergkamp has signed a new one-year contract with Arsenal.

It has to be said, the Arsenal bubble does indeed seem to be bursting.

Riddled with spiralling debts, city doubts over the over-ambition of their stadia development plans, player unrest over possible wage cuts, and a clear and pointed inability to perform on the european stage.

Pires has stated before now that he has thought about leaving.
Viera has been on the brink of leaving before.
Wiltord's contract is running down also.
The best youth players frustrated at lack of chances and wanting to leave.


Arsenal seem to be very quickly losing their "va-va-voom".

Real may as well send Vieria a shirt over now so he can wear it in all of Arsenal games for the coming season because, in my opinion anyway, when it comes to a choice between Real and Arsenal there's not really that much to think about.
And when he does go i expect a big exodus of players and Arsenal will be sliding all the way down while we all chant:

Viera's half way to Madrid already. Quite possibly the most costly Bosman in footballing history is a little under 12 months away.

Heh, so the premiership has to keep an eye out for those trademark Bergkamp "nudges" for another season then.

That's probably the best piece of business Arsenal will do this season; transfer-wise.
