We seem to be starting quite a few at the moment, so lets keep it all in one place.

This is your centre for enquiring about/recommending/talking about any albums, songs or rappers.

Enjoy.

Not sure, maybe on the Full Clip set? If it wasn't good enough to get on there it may not even be that good.

Okay, hip-hop recommendations. Essential artists and their best albums:

A Tribe Called Quest - People's Instinctive Travels.., Low End Theory or Beats Rhymes and Life.
Common - Ressurection or Be (Not released yet)
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
Method Man - Tical (DON'T get Tical the Prequel)
KRS-One - Return of the Boom Bap, I Got Next or A Retrspective. If you get into him also check out Edutainment and Criminal Minded.
Grand Puba - Reel to Reel
Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Pete Rock & CL Smooth - The Main Ingredient or Mecca and the Soul Brother
Nas - Illmatic
Jurassic 5 - Power in Numbers, Quality Control or J5
NWA - Straight Outta Compton, Dr.Dre - The Chronic
De La Soul - 3 Feet High & Rising
DOC - No-one Can Do It Better
and finally
Best of Cold Chillin'

Hey, you know that Gangstarr track, "Squeeze on", is it on any of his albums or just the Training Day Soundtrack (and single).

Was searching for it on Amazon but couldn't find it.
Having said that, the CD I got was a bunch of remixes and they were mostly better. The original Gangstarr track probably isn't as good.

(I've also ordered some second hand Big L. Got any recommended albums> I do most of my shopping at Amazon's second hand section. :-))

It's okay, I got tired of that song before they released it though.

Because that was my original name, but then the trend came of abbreviating your nickname in some way, like Kid Rock becoming KR and Longy :0) becoming just Longy. Seemed the best thing for me was to take off the D.

Simple.

Asher, why did you have D after your name when you made this thread?

I preferred the Chronic. And he was even better on Staight Outta Compton.
