We seem to be starting quite a few at the moment, so lets keep it all in one place.

This is your centre for enquiring about/recommending/talking about any albums, songs or rappers.

Enjoy.

Lol yeah, they were one of my favourite R&B groups, until they collaborated with Mase to do the themse song for the Rugrats movie.

That's just not cool.

Did any of you listen to Blackstreet when they were quite big? I used to love 'No Diggity'!

"I like the way you work it, No diggity!"

Oooooh yeah!

If you're discussing British hip-hop, I think everyone's forgotten Mark B & Blade? They're fantastic.

Sway.

Anyone heard of him? He dropped a Tipsy pish-take remix ('Pepsi') a couple of weeks after Tipsy came out and impressed me to no end.

Finally, two weeks ago I picked up his two mixtapes, and.. waaaa.. :-D

Seeing him live on Wednesday, I hope.

This is my Promo Vol. 1
This is my Promo Vol. 2

Imaginative titles, no?

I've been listening to Pete Rock & CL Smooth's Mecca and the Soul Brother album a lot the past few days and I'm honestly starting to think it's got to be one of the best hip-hop albums in history. I love A Tribe Called Quest, it beats any of their albums, I'd even go as far to say it's better than Illmatic - the production is amazingly complicated yet funky, and CL Smooth neverslips off form.

Everyone, I advise you check it out. It's cheaper than cheap on amazon marketplace.

You need to get his old albums as well, if you haven't already. 'Brand New Second Hand' is the best debut album I've heard in many a year and 'Run Come Save Me' builds on what he does so well.

Roll Deep were amazing. Then they turned crap.

I'm not trying to be all 'cool' and 'different, maaaaan' but they just turned crap recently.

A while back (this time last year, I think) I saw them live, and they had an energy about them live on stage. They were amazing. 2 weeks ago, I saw them live. Half of them had turned up, they all stood around, and just 'spat' their verses, as per the album. I wanted to be excited about seeing them, but it was lacking. Things have got to their head. They can't help it.

Roots, on the other hand. Is a genius. I saw him at the Wireless Festival couple of weeks ago, and he rocked hardcore. I'd had his Awfully Deep album for ages, but never got round to listening to it properly. He impressed me a lot live, so I've taken to listening to the album recently. Am loving it.

And, if any of you care, I had a chat with Stamina MC (of Barcelona fame), he's a doooood :-)
