We seem to be starting quite a few at the moment, so lets keep it all in one place.

This is your centre for enquiring about/recommending/talking about any albums, songs or rappers.

Enjoy.

Ah finally found this topic again.

The Outkast album is great. It's so nice to actually have something original to listen to for a change. I feel Andre's side is stronger, which is strange seeing as Big Boi's side is more rap orientated so i thought i'd have preferred that. Ah well maybe it's just the sheer originality of his music on this album that won me over (plus also the good day, good sir skit has to be my favourite skit ever on a album, don't know why but i found it hilarious)

Next purchase will probably be The Black Album by Jay Z, his last solo album (or so he says)

I'm all for freedom of speech but I think you should be shot for holding that opinion. The album is absolutely brilliant. The best thing about is that it isn't straight hip hop, it pushes things forward in a crazy way. It's like they went into the studio and just did whatever the hell they liked. It ends up sounding - in attitude and insanity rather than musically - like Sly and the Family Stone or Parliament or EPMD. Everybody should own it.

I really liked Ooh Wee by Mark Ronson, and I've heard a couple of other tracks that seemed good too. Somebody did tell me that the album is all over the place stylewise and sounds like a bit of a mess, albeit an occasionally brilliant mess. I just got paid so I'll probably pick it up this week. On a more leftfield note I'm going to get turntablist mentalist Kid Koala's new album as well.

One album that I've been listening to a lot recently is Super Saian Crew - X Raisons. I've had it for ages but never really got into until now. They did the best track on RZA's The World According To... album. The track's called Saian and everybody should download (I mean buy, of course) it now.

The new Outkast album is terrible! I liked their past stuff, all the crazy beats and tunes they drop, but this new one is absolutely horrendous! The only track I can listen to is Dre's 'Hey Ya', which is now a single.

Bought Chicken and Beer by Luda on Saturday during one of my usual *i'm only going to buy this then back home.......ooooh HMV* phases. Glad i did because it's another great album. 19 tracks of pure listening pleasure, especially when he has another go at that politically correct news **&*^ Bill O'Reilly.

Should be getting the new Outkast album today as well, must be going all ATL this week :-)

It's weird. I think NWA are Old Skool but I don't think Wu-Tang are. Yet both groups are still around, NWAs just scattered around more than Wu.

Well i mean proper old skool like the sugarhill gang, grandmaster flash, afrika bambaata the kind of guys who if people have listened to rap most of their lives consider to be the real old skool legends, not the type of people who got into rap when Eminem showed up and think that Jay Z and Nas are now old skool rappers just because they've actually been going longer then 50 cent.

I got Born Again by The Notorious BIG today for 5.99 cos my local CD shop couldnt find the case. Saved a tenner and it's brilliant and all I need to do is copy paste the song list off of Amazon.

Brilliant.

Just bought the new Neptunes album and an old Skool compilation CD. Both are brilliant apart from the middle of the Neptunes album which goes all rock. Still the rest makes up for it and it has a track by Luda and another by ODB himself so i'm happy about that.
The old skool album has what you'd expect on there, stuff from Sugarhill gang, Grandmaster Flash and The Sequence to name a few. That'll definitly be getting stolen next time i have friends round i bet.
