"Name My Cat - The Big Issues Discussed"

Yes, we've been talking about the big issues like the Iraq war, Forensics, Identity Cards and so forth... but we haven't touched on the really big issue, the issue that affects us all in one way or another.

What should I call my cat? It's a stray we kinda adopted (ie. it kept coming back to our house so we fed it) and seeing as we've had to take it to the vet because of a gimpy leg, I think it's pretty much unsaid that we're going to keep it. However, we need to give it a name.

I want your suggestions please, nothing to cheesy, nothing to spasticated. And not names like Puss, or Garfield, or Meow-gli because they all suck. I'm a man, and he's going to be a man's cat.

FYI: It's black, dirty and always has oil up its back from sleeping under vans, a bit like a hobo.

My sister called her kitten Anakin. It was a cute kitten, then turned into an evil Darth Vader cat. True story.

My cat was called Buster.

My cousin has a cat called Pretty - because she is.

Our neighbours have a cat called Harley; the girl is into bikes, and named it after Harley Davidson! Poor little thing got run over by a car and only has three legs. :-(

It's worth noting that long names will be abbreviated over time. So Rumplestiltskin would become 'Rump' or 'Rum'. Whatever your comfortable calling out at night.... :D
