USA is much better then the UK.
We have a better soccer side as shown in the world cup.
We speak in a proper accent
We are more superior in terms of power over other countries
We make better cars
We exercise our military right

USA thinks england is full of rich snobs who don't live in the real world. Any Ameriacns feel the same post your thoughts, and any Englishman can run.

Actually the MOD released details of three admitted operations with US/Norwegian help to prevent the Nazi bomb project.

In late 1941 US intelligence passed details of a heavy water plant to the UK, which sent in bombers to level it, and this was repeated in early 1942. By late 1942 Norweigian resistance fighters gathered intel that, not only was there another plant, but it had manufactured enough heavy water to be used to produce a minimum of 4 bombs. The water was due to be transported to the Reich within weeks. After a bombing raid failed a new plan was formed, at a horrid cost. The route the water would be transported along was found, a weak spot identified - a civilian ferry crossing across a large lake, which was so deep that no one would be able to reach it's bottom. Explosives were laid on the ferry, when it reached the centre of the lake they detonated, sending the entire vessel of civilians, germans, and the heavy water, to the bottom, ending the Nazi bomb project. As the US reinforcements arrived in the UK and control of the skies shifted to the allies the Nazi's all but abandoned the project, concentrating on new weapons to win the war such as the V series rockets and other technologies.

There are several books whose names elude me on this topic, as well as frequent history channel documentaries. Actually within the Reich German doctors conducted many tests on the effects of radiation on POW's and civilians to measure effects.

The entry of America forced the Nazi's into a two front war, eventually giving Russia the time to counterattack and start it's own push back at the Nazi's.

Certainly there were plans to defend the UK, but - as Japan found out - an A Bomb on your cities is far easier and less costly in terms of casualties - though Germany would probably - like the Americans did - have warned of the use of the weapon to us before using it.

Granted, we wouldn't have been able to hold off the Nazi's for a long time. But i've seen the Nazi invasion plans, and our defence plans, and lots of military dude's say they wouldn't have stood a chance.

Also, Germany was a long, long, long way from developing a Nuke. Perhaps if their wasn't so much red tape, they'd have been more advanced, but not by much.

Also, the Russians did start to kick some German butt just outside of Moscow, so it wasn't all good for Germany.

All in all, without the Americans, we'd have been a lot worse off. Would we have lost the war? I'm not sure.

Also, if we wern't able to hold out as we did, the US would have grandparents speaking Japanise. So the door swings both ways.
