On tonight. I'm going to watch it. 8.15pm on BBC 1. However, Romeo Must Die is on at 9.30 on ITV or Channel 4. Another great film. I'm going to go for U-571 though, as I haven't seen it before, whereas I have seen Romeo Must Die. And, yes, I am aware of the controversy surrounding U-571 for excluding the British and saying the Americans found the Enigma machine. Cheek.

Also, i watched Sink The Bismark the other day. It's a pretty good film, even by todays standard's. I'd much rather watch that than U-571. It's just a better film. And the events are spot on to what actually happened, as far as i'm aware.

As a movie fan, i think U-571 is ok, not bad, but could be better.

As a Briton, i hate the thing. The sodding yanks are at it again, as one person said, changing the history to suit them. I know it's only a film, but now every person in the world who watches this think the Yanks got the Enigma first. They don't recognise the price people paid, i.e. the guy who died getting one off a sinking U-Boat. I know there was some stuff at the end, but how many people saw that?!?! Bloody Hollywood!

I've watched the film, Sink the Bismark! and it quite cleary showed us plucky Brits sinking that Nazi death ship. Us Brits never lie in films...

A Bismark film shot on a budget of a tenner, starring you and mate-with-z-at-end-of-name on the streets of Newcastle? Should be interesting. ;)

Don't worry, lads, MoJo plans on making many-a-WW2 film. My main idea is one on the Bismarck. Americans can't claim THAT one. Although, of course, many believe it was the Germans who actually sank it...

Das Boot is better but at least U-571 wasn't as bad as Pearl Harbour.

Cheaper though. If they spent more than 5m on the sets, location shoots and SFX they were sorely ripped off.
