Report due today.
Mentions the facts in nice, concise and clear points.
Of course, you could argue that the BBC is biased thanks to Alistair Campbell's comments.
Or you could argue that Campbell's tactics are to divert attention and interest away from the fundemental issues and get everyone concentrating on 45 mins and "sexed up".

I'll only say that Campbell is not an elected official, merely an independantly appointed advisor for Blair. A Spin Doctor who's job it is to minimise damage and put government in a favourable light.
He certainly deserves a raise, whatever the result.

lol, well I think pretty much the same of you Light so I'll call it a draw. Notice that you yourself only enter this topic to criticise me, not to add a single worthy thing to the semblance of debate, which when you criticise me for the same, kind of undermines your whole rant in the first place.

Still, Goatboy will be glad his apprentice is back :P

Y'know, it's good to be proved right....

Bell Says - "I'm having a lot of though now about the way I view the world, and this time I mean it!"

Two weeks pass...

Bell Says - "Anyone who criticises the governments of the UK or US is biased. Or liars. And in any case, I've got my hands clamped over my ears so I can't hear you. So there."

Please Bell, just go away. You're an affront to anyone interested in debate, and your thought-free antagonism has all the thought of a 'special' young man.
I'll read your self-pitying, whiny retort tomorrow.

You could, or you could argue that you use BBC links when it suits you.

Nice to see you let the Kapo topic sink, you vile individual.

*yawns* You could also argue the BBC is not biased based on the statement it issued yesterday not actually backing the claims made by the BBC reporter, in fact you could argue that the problem lies within a select few of the BBC staff...

And whilst were here, who drew attention to the 45 minute claim in the first place ? Oh, the BBC.

Until then the focus was over finding WMD, but thanks to them it's now a slanging match between Number 10 and the corporation. High ho.

Plus they haven't done anything wrong in the first place. This whole business is mental.

I'm lucky (unlucky?) enough to have Sky News on at work just opposite me. And the BBC ticker running on my computer so I'm usually up to date with all the day's events.

Back to the point, how can Blair possibly demand the BBC apologises? Surely an apology is admitting that they're wrong thereby putting at risk the reputation of the BBC as an independant reporting office?

"You could not make a more serious charge against a prime minister, that I ordered our troops into conflict on the basis of intelligence evidence that I falsified. The charge happens to be wrong."

It happens to be wrong? What kind of a statment is that? It's almost like he's saying "Well, I'd do this anyway, even if it were right, but it just so happens it's wrong this time".

To me, I don't care if the intelligence was falsified or not - the point is it wasn't reliable anyway. Going to war on an old univeristy thesis? That's ridiculous. Hang on, you didn't write this thesis did you Belldandy? Just kidding. :)
