... and while it's comfy, it's not exactly a bed! I stayed up on purpose (I was waiting for news about a friend who's ill) and saw the dawn with the obligatory morning chrous from the birds.
Despite a few aches and pains, I'm feeling pretty good and have got *loads* of work done (working from has some serious advantages) so I'm seriously considering doing this on a regular basis, say once a fortnight, when I've got a big workload.
Does anyone know of any dangerous side effects I should be aware of and does anyone else engage in a similar practice?
The longest I've stayed awake before (excluding parties where) was 29 hours: wake at 8am in Florida; fly to Dallas; fly to Gatwick; drive to Cheltenham; drive to Worcester; drive to Kidderminster and work for 8 hours and finally to bed at 9pm.
