Or cannibis, weed, etc etc.

Let's all discuss it.
Because i want to see if any of you have ever encountered it.

There is also a reason that this is here and not FOG, so mature, adult answers please, no little kiddies pretending to be cool.

You don't get "lager breaks" at work. You do, however, get "cigarette breaks". And I'm fairly confident that given the misdirected advertising weed has been given, plenty of people will use their cigarette breaks to ensure they can "think more deeply, and approach issues from a different perspective".

Besides, look at Holland. They have sever problems with people going on to use harder drugs, either as a logical next step, or because there is no excitement in smoking weed if it's legal. People wil always strive to do things outside of the law. Legalising what they're doing will only eventually lead to them doing something else, likely something worse.

Legalise weed, use of class a drugs will skyrocket. Legalise prostitution, child pornography and other forms of deviancy will also be on the increase. Legalise one thing, and the thing that is next-worse on the legality scale picks up the weight.

But it's always the same argument from the pro-legalisation people. "I do it, and I'm fine". Some people wrestle with bears for a living, doesn't mean everyone should be allowed to do it.

I was drunk at work once. But I was working early and hadn't got it all out my system and then I sobered up. So now I don't drink before an early shift because I felt I was going to die.

And I doubt the majority of people wouldn't smoke a joint at work unless they wanted a P45

That is absolute cobblers.
You dont see people supping alchohol in the work place do you? Or if they do then it's a sackable offence.
Honestly...

Well, I've actually moved from spirits to beer.

Weed can (I say can, not necessarily will) lead to "harder" drugs. I've seen it happen.

Lager can lead to spirits and wine, over which fewer people, especially the elderly, to my knowledge, suffer burglary, theft and violence in order for the users to raise cash for in a desperate attempt to satisfy uncontrollable addiction.

But no, legalise it, and let people smoke it in the workplace, and watch the UKs solid reputation for a professional workforce disappear quite literally in a puff of smoke.

Why is weed so popular? Because people always want what they can't have.

Alcohol causes more fatalaties, injuries, accidents and problems than weed does. And that's a fact. I'm reminded of that song off The Streets album where this argument is put to music, quite effectively too.

But drink is so much better than weed. The problem with weed is, it's VERY easy to have too much. It's hard to know when to stop, and since it takes a while to hit you then - bam, you're off your head, people will keep on smoking it thinking "it's not working".

If you must experiment, please, for you own sake, be careful. Go halfers on a joint or something, and don't even bother with boats or buckets, they'll mess you up bigtime.

so does marijuana if you have a bad reaction to it. i think there is far too little information on just how dangerous drugs are.

LSD is HIGHLY unlikely to kill you off in one go, not that I'm advocating you doing it. Of course, the drug itself might not be the thing that kills you, you might throw yourself off a balcony because you didn't know what you were doing.

My opinion is that beer is one of the worst drugs there is. If it were discovered today it would be instantly banned

Never smoked it. I probably will, though at some point, not in order to act cool but just to try it. I would only try it though, and not other drugs like LSD, etc. as they are capable off killing you, one off.
