From 30th June...

No hosting charges for domain names
No charges for extra web space

That means that Freeola Broadband users get the same great 'unlimited' deal as our 0845 customers.

- FREE UNLIMITED DOMAIN HOSTING
- FREE UNLIMITED WEB SPACE

MySQL remains a paid option at £3 per month.

Regards,
Danny

Found catch number one. Although it isn't ~that~ bad considering it's unlimited!

2 Mbit - £64.99
Up to 2048k down, 256k up

Bit of a slow upload but how often will you need super fast upload, and with 2048k download!

*screams*

I need proper broadband.

Yep, official. Freeola have added the 'unlimited' talk to their sign-up page.

I'm really considering this, I just want to make sure their are no hidden parts of the deal (like a 1MB daily upload limit or something).

They block the ports most commonly used by P2P programs. You can change them though.

Freeola don't do this. I want Freeola now.

Damn.

How does it not support P2P stuff? And are you talking about Freeola ADSL?

If the 18.99 from PlusNet, be wary of the activation fees there man, according to their site;

"portal.plus.net/info2/signup/homesurf.html"

Contract | Monthly Subscription | Modem + Activation
12 Month £29.63* -
£18.99 £116.05 one off fee
1 Month £18.99 £128.05 one off fee

The activation fee shoves up the cost considerably... It seems the better deals dont come into effect unless you already have a BB activated line and modem

Oh god. I submitted, got a blank page then pressed the refresh button and...

I wouldn't have thought 'refresh' would resubmit.

Yep, and yes too your second post. The prices are more or less the same. The broadband sector is a bit like the banks' sector where you gain on the swings and maybe lose on the roundabouts, and for the greater amount of deals the prices are indeed the same. But when I said more or less, I think the package I'm choosing will be for the less. A one-off modem purchase and a one-off installation charge and 18 pounds from there on. It kind of works out cheaper than the 26 a month offerings that come with free modems and installation. But of course the downside is that the service doesn't support P2P so maybe I'll consider the 21 pound option where P2P is supported.

Do you mean the PlusNet ASDL Home insatll? - Dont forget, theire still a £60 + the cost of the modem... which should sove the price up to £100-£120 total installation costs
