"I was assulted and they broke my jaw!"

Just making this known.
On thursday, me and five mates were playing football on Holland Park, in Brownhills. Just after 1 o'clock, we were attacked by at least 10 'youths'. Two friends got away with bruising, i had a broken jaw in two places, and damaged teeth. Now, i have two permanent metal plates on my jaw, and for six weeks, wire on my teeth to correct them, and elastic to straighten my bite. I'm now eating via a straw for those six weeks.
Nobody need answer this, but i just wanted to make it public, not sure why. Thx for reading.

There has to be something wrong in their heads, if not, then I have lost even more faith in humanity. Speedy recovery and what have you to everyone that's been attacked.

Attacks like that seem to be all the more common these days. A guy I used to play football with got hit with a small axe(like from a DIY store) in the back and one night we were out in Glasgow these guys in a car stopped and started hitting the guy in front of us, as we approached another guy came out the car with a big knife and just said "You lot just keep out"

I guess its just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But it is a problem that seems to be getting a lot worse.

Stuff like this was common where i used to live. I had the 'pleasure' of living slap bang in the middle of 2 different gangs. There was hardly a week that passed without some sort of violence, pubs getting shot up, muggings all that stuff.
Then the police finally did something when a young lad got his head smashed in with a baseball bat when he accidentally got in the middle of a fight. Finally they started to arrest some people but soon enough they were back out again and the police were too afraid to even come down to the area. I think i saw one police car each month drive past and that was in a good month.

I'll be so glad when i move to Canada away from this country where the criminals run everything.

Have you considered giving "The Equalizer" a call?

i thought a radgie was a gypo. they are generally just as bad

I've been attacked twice. nothing as bad as this. I was concussed after being punched the first time, the second I just had a sore jaw for about a week. I realise it's not as bad, but it still makes you feel the same inside, like someone has affected your life in such a negative way for no clear purpose.

it's definitely one of the reasons I started attending martial arts classes. if this happens again I want them to go away in as much pain as I'm in, if not more.

Of course, a lot of the time you don't see it coming at all, and there is no defence to that.

What's a radgie?

It's society. Being raised in a family where your dad shouts racist comments at the TV, talks about hitting people and steals stuff isn't going to do you any good.

If you're raised on violence, you live it out for most of your life. I could never even dream of attacking somebody for no reason. For them... it's just Tuesday.

I fortunatly, have not yet had any experiance of any 'proper' violence. I think if I encountered any one, I'd be way too naieve and think that everybody is not really all that bad. And get the shi*e kicked out of me.

I can't understand the mental state that people like that have. Its just so wrong.
