As I am building a whole new computer as well as taking the CD writer, DVD drive and 1 of the hard disks I was wondering about this Enermax case. At £70 it seems a bargin. I will be having a 120Gb ATA133 7200rpm hard disk which I plan to put inside a hard drive cooler unit, also have 40Gb ATA100 5400rpm which will be left out in the open. Also will be fitting 2 rear 80mm fans, 1 front 80mm fan as well as an 80mm fan in the roof(it has got a roof grill hasnt it?) and of course the side 80mm fan. With 5 fans as well as 2 hard drives(one in a cooler unit) and a CD writer and DVD drive will the 350 watt PSU be able to cope? As I will be having a XP2800 Barton as well as 2x512 DDR400 and a nice Radeon 9800 Pro which needs to be hooked up to the PSU. So with all this will the 350 watt PSU cope? I really would like this case as it has enough space for all the drives I need, has fan space for some nice cooling, and its cheap.

Also another question does the cathode light take up much power or generate too much heat? Also is it easy to remove if you dont actually want to use it?

Thanks for any advice, as I really want to make sure that the 350 watt PSU will cope with what I will be having. Hopefully I will be getting all the system parts in a few weeks.

I wasnt too fussed on them but they are growing on me. I normally have the PC on my desk as I have a raised section where the moitor fits and the PC and then underneath theres space for the USB ADSL modem and a set of speakers. As the Thermaltake case is alot bigger I will be dumping it on the floor, so it will be out of sight, and hopefully it wont be as loud being further away.

Personally I want this case for its cooling. It has 7 fans which should keep my PC cool. I have become very paranoid over the past year about temps as my PC seems to not like going too hot even though its actually still cool by PC terms.

Plus I think with my whole system I will really need much more than 350watt so why spend £70 on the Enermax and of course another £20 on some fans when I can get the Thermaltake for £105 with 7 fans and then spend another £75 on a PSU which is actually going to take the strain.

Hopefully SR can get some Thermaltake Xaser 3s in soon preferably within the next 2-4 weeks as then you may be getting a call from me if the price is right :) Found them for £105 without shipping. Which would probably be another £20 cause of the sheer weight of this case.

I think 350W wold be able to do one case fan, CPU fan, gfx card, soundcard (optional), 2 CD drives and mobo plus onboard land and optional Sound if you go for that.
Beats me but what would you put on 460W besides these lot?

Some of them have 4 fans in them looking at the Pc Cases SR sells, so i recommend a 400W PSU for that and a DVD Drive, gfx card, Soundcard (optional) CD-RW and mobo + any features you use (which is mostly the lan and or sound)

I suspect so, as motherboards only take a few fans and with highpowered fans its not a good idea to start loading up your motherboard with lots of fans as you could probably never get the computer to get going.

I think I will go for one of those Xaser 3 cases and then get a decent PSU possiably a Enermax 460watt as Enermax seem to build decent PSUs.

Not really for lots of devices and fans. Radeons need at least 300watt PSU to work. Then you get all the juice being sucked out by the cooling fans, hard drives, cd drives etc.

I think that I will spend my money on a Thermaltake Xaser 3 and a 460watt Enermax PSU. £180 altogether but I think its money well spent, as I use my computer so much I need to get a decent PSU and the Xaser 3 case looks very sweet :)
