Having just got home from a hard days work (:D) I decided to treat myself to a shower. I noticed a large spider above the shower, but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, and assume it would mind its own business.

5 minutes into the shower I see a black shape drop past my head and land in the bath. I decided enough was enough, and all eight of spideys eyes widened as I fearlessly used the shower head to wash the sucker down the plug hole.

He'll think again before he tries to molest me, the little hairy freak ...

apparently its only the tarantulas that are posted, but (and I quote) :

All our arachnids are sent in insulated packaging with a heat pack to ensure safe arrival during cold weather.

I didn't know they posted them, I'm off to check that out incase you're winding us up. Imagine the postmans face if the parcel burst :)

I would have loved a iguana (like Sarah Connor in Terminator, I think) but my husband wanted snakes again. As I am terrified for no logical reason of snakes we ended up with the spider.

yeah, amazingly enough, they send them in the post!!!! it's like 'pets overnight dot com' off GTA3!

Its a bit irresponsible sending pets through the post, not to mention cruel.

anyway enough about that, there was quite a few exotic animals on there that I thought might be feasible.

you can get a giant mantis, complete with cage, food and care book for about 50 quid. I've no idea what sort of pet they would make, but it would be interesting thats for sure.

also, lizards, but you need really big tanks for them. a friend had one and its tank was half the size of the room. they are great though, they look just like dragons!

I'll have to give it some thought

Go to a good pet shop first and look at them. I'm sure the colours are much richer than that site. How are you with crickets though? We used to have a beautiful deep purple colour bird spider but it died of shock very early on. Got rid of the spider easily but couldn't clean out the tank as all the crickets were still alive and living off 1/2 a potato we put in there.

I wouldn't clean it as it was my husbands spider and he wouldn't clean it because he didn't like crickets!

I was seriously considering purchasing myself a tarantula to confront and dispell my fears of them, but half an hour of looking at this site :

http://www.easyexotics.co.uk/shop/ (space) index.html?target=p_363.html&lang=en-gb

and I thought it perhaps not a good idea after all.

*note - have a look at the goliath bird eater - LEGS 6 inches long!!!!!!*

Can't seriously have been much of a friend and the cruel sod - he probably hurt and frightened the poor babies.

My friend chased me and another friend with handfuls of baby spiders in, and dangling from, his hands.

We've got a wasps nest in the roof of our porch.

When I'm bored I prod it.

It's fun.

Seriously, there's a nest there, just that I don't prod it!

We decided to block up their entrance so they all died up there, hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahah.

*shudders* I don't mind spiders, but wasps are God's way of trying to kill me of a heart attack, or wasp's sting.

I remember waking up with a wasp crawling over my eye. Ever so slightly un nerving.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.

So far the services you provide are second to none. Keep up the good work.
