Thinking of getting a DVD player for my room as the one in the PS2 is far from great.
So what I would like is information on what DVD player you own or which you would suggest getting.

Want something that is multi region, plays all the extras like VCD's and if possible the like of mpgs etc

Also looks good too and not too pricey.

Cheers

hmmm, i've never noticed it making any noise.

I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Mind you, i'm quite used to watching DVDs on my PC/PS2/Xbox so i guess i wouldnt notice a little humming from the DVD player. I'll check it out tomorrow.

I got one for my mate for his birthday. £50 it was, and plays VCDs, MP3 CDs and is multi regional capable. Meanwhile, I'm stuck using my PS2 or my PC (we have a good DVD player downstairs, but I rarely get to use it)

I could get the DVD kit for my X-Box though, I assume they would be better than the PS2s because the X-Box isn't crippled with manufacturing problems.

Ortega does it make a noise whilst playing? Or is it completley silent?

oh yeh, and its multi-region with a code you get into the box.

You only have to type in the code once and its multi-region(ised) for life.

I asked the same question a while ago which was met with a muted response. If you are looking for a cheap player i usually search ebay and compare what i see there with reviews from www.dvdrhelp.com
