I can't see the attraction as its just a different colour of name, you don't get any more respect if your posts aren't of a certain quality so why do you folk want it so much?
Why?
Also what makes you notable material? Eh? What do you offer to these forums that makes you that little bit different to others?

And your point is?
This is a "discussion forum"
I just find the way so many take the notable thing so serious rather amusing.

Thats what you meant to say. Thought I would clear that up for everyone.

Sorry, first time I saw this. Them caring too much? How many posts have you made in here about "why should I vote for you", "buy my vote" or "votey vote" within the past few days? 3? 4?
I guess if people vote for you then you know that the things you post have meant something to someone. What I mean is, I always post without much regar for what people will think of me, but if a few people voted
for me it would mean that I'm not just posting lots of stupidness and I guess that would give give me the courage to carry on being me. In the end its not about the shiny yellow name or the status, its about knowing that you post things that people like to read. Thats why there isn't any point in trying to get people to vote for you at this late hour, ultimatly it would be hollow.
And of course its a double-edged sword. Being a notable seem to give people a right to moan at you for thinking that you are better than them, even though you would have moaned exactly the same if you were a regular. I think that was Insane Bartend found in the end. Suddenly he was faced with people saying 'You think your so much better than me just because your a notable'.
One of things I really find to be silly about these elections is that anyone who lets it be known that they want to be a notable seems to be automatically disqualifed. Its as if they become not cool enough for you anymore, just becasue they want to be seen to be popular. In the end Notabiliy is like a badge of popularity, and everybody wants people to like them. Its just human nature.
> What makes a notable is a house hold
Yes, I could imagine 50 year old women discussing SHEEPY's latest job and girlfriend...
> If it was for reviews, I should win.
Ha!
> Indeed it is, I just wanted to see who cares about this far too much
> and why I won't vote for them.
> Thats not what makes a notable in this place.
Agreed, but I don't care about this at all. Because if I did, I would have made some stupid lttle post about how "I will improve posts" if I were to become Notable. What people do not realise is, you should be writing to the best of your ability even without being Notable.
Being a Notable doesn't mean you're any more respected. SHEEPY would be the same crazy old SHEEPY without Notable status, IB would still flame every stupid newbie post in site, etc.
The only difference is, people notice if you leave. "hez leeving da forumz!!!!!1111111111111".
