I'm just wondering, what is the deal with The Rock? I personally think that he has a very limited move set when in the ring. Not saying that his ability to do the moves that he does do is bad, but, I would just like to see him add something different in to the mix. Nearly all of his move I can see coming a mile off. He will do one or two moves per situation I feel.

He's mic skills are however very good. He's got the personality and the catch-pharses to make me laugh and such. One of the best there is I think. This is what I think makes him a fan favorite.

Now I just thought I'd find out from people in here as most sound like they have an idea of what is going on. I casually watch wrestleing so I have some idea but not the same level a those that watch it regularly. Any one else want to present the case for and against The Rock?

Thank everybody. Starting to see where some poeple are coming from. Now I must continue my search for Guyver - Dark hero on DVD.

The Rock rules! He's my fav wrestler. When I heard goldberg was coming back I thought goldberg would, once again, become my fav wrestler but he just wasn't that good anymore.

If he didn't have so much charisma The Rock probably wouldn't be all that in the ring, but despite his limited offence, I still find him an entertaining wrestler.

Cid you sound like a pretty cool guy. You present your thoughts with reasons, I'm sure you'd be a great addition to the WWE forum.

I do find The Rock entertaining outisde of the ring, just not in it. Some people do and a few don't. At least if only just one person enjoys something that a wrestler does then it's alright. I'm not mocking you and saying that you are the only Rock fan, just saying it about wrestlers in general.

I take it as entertainment and nothing more really. Every one is going to have their favorires and that is that. I just wanted to know why everyone liked him and you have given me vaild points and for that I thank you. That is what I wanted and that is what I got.

I'll tell you who's moves are really predictable - the big show! He does like 4-5 moves per match and the rest is all punches, kicks or headbutts.

If you want to watch real wrestling then don't bother with the WWE. It is there to entertain us and I would class the starts as Stunt Men/Women more than wrestlers. The Rock is the greatest all round entertainer the world has seen since Ali and the crowds love him. You couldn't really take the People's Elbow as a serious wrestling move and then complain about his limited set of moves?! The Rocks moves are there to entertain and entertain they certainly do.

You still want to know what the deal with The Rock is?

Yes but what I mean is that when it come to the Rock I think that it is easy to tell what move he will do next given his situation. With others they have their usual moves that you would expact but I find that they are not as predictable as others. I aslo find that they have a bigger move set and are far more likey to pull off something different to their usual stuff. That's just what I feel and think. I guess that some people think that about other wrestlers too.
