1) I'm running Windows 98, so I assume that the Windows-enabled iPod won't work, yes?
2) What size iPod would you advise me to get (When I do)? I'm only looking for one that can store 700-1000 tracks.
3) Downloading MP3s. What's the best place to download them, and are they legal ie do I have to delete them after a certain amount of time?
4) Does the above apply to an iPod?
Thanks

According to Apple, no. You need ME, 2000 or XP. And a firewire port.

A 5GB one will hold 1000 tracks, but it's probably best to go for the largest you can afford as you may want more than that in the future.

They are illegal, they breach copyright legislation, there is no time limit, because you aren't supposed to have them in the first place. Unless of course they were released with the intention of being available for free, i.e. live recordings of bands that don't mind their shows being recorded and tracks released for free from websites.
However, nobody is really caring that much about the law right now apart from the RIAA in the US trying to sue two university students for some stupid amount of money, and people trying to shut down the file sharing applications main servers.
If you rip songs from CDs that you own and put them onto your MP3 player, that's fine.

Yeah, it does. Downloaded music is downloaded music no matter where it is. While you haven't paid for a copy, you technically shouldn't have it.
This was a short flight back from Italy!
I listened to Rugrats!

I listened to the 'Kidzone' last time I was on a flight. They had a kinda talked episode of Rugrats!
The one where they went to see Reptar on Ice!
Ahhhhh, I had lots of fun listening to it!

I wouldn't listen to music 10 hours straight anyway!
And my PC speakers are crap.
And Phil, I go nowhere near Roms...

While I'm here.
That rule doesn't apply to ROMs if you think it does!
There's no such time limit on ROMs, they too are completely illegal.

True, but there's nothing stopping people from plugging it in when playing at home.
And to be honest, I would be able to find another plug socket in under 10 hours anyway... :D

Well, it can happen. But, it could happen with any p2p software you use. If you have a virus checker, get it to scan over the folder you want the files to go into every so often. And Kazaa Lite is better than Kazaa anyway.
