I have heard from media sources that Playstation 2's have been faulty from the start!

One person was watching a DVD movie when it suddenly turned itself off for no apparent reason! Also when he was trying to play games he couldn't get past the language select screen. When he tried getting his DVD movie out he couldn't at all and the PS2 would not turn back on at all!

He phoned Sony's technical helpline and he was put on hold for about half hour. He was then told to wait for a new one which would arrive 2 weeks later!

Because he didn't want to wait that long he got his father to take it back to the shop and they said they could get a replacement sooner but he'd still have a long wait to get his DVD back.

Also another person had similar problems but the DVD drive kept opening too fast and games wouldn't run! He tried phoning the Sony helpline and was told he'd have to wait almost 3 weeks! And that was after ringing 10 times and being put on hold for almost an hour each time!

Sony have had to pay £121 million to sort out technical problems since the PS2's release! And still they say "there is nothing wrong with PS2!"

all I can say is:

I TOLD YOU SO!

Whatever console you have it doesn't matter. You can get all your games that look good on your PS2, play your online Quake 3 happily and your Perfect Dark's with your mates.
It doesn't matter, if you like the way your console plays games that's good.
A console play a gives you alot of fun and some EYE CANDY to treat your eyes a bit.

Yes but u can get them really cheap now:
I can get:

PS2@250
DC@60
N64@25
GB@10

look at the prices.

I was just saying that at the moment I would prefer to have a 64 or DC to my PS2. Thats all.

If you buy the GameCube, then so are you.

You'll be missing out on the PS2, X-Box and Dreamcast.

What's wrong with having a PS2 and nothing else??

What if you don't have the money (like me) to buy both the PS2 and GameCube??

I have had many problems with my PS2. It was rather strange, I now have a replacement for the broken one,

(no thanks to 'Sony' it was all thanks to 'GAME')

but anyway, some of my PS2's problems include:

-DVD random stopage.
-Crashing at random times.
-Falling over without stand (my fault probably)
-weak cable linkage.

I still reckon it is WICKED for playing games, I still watch my DVDs on my G4 so i cant complain, I just feel sorry for the people who only have a PS2 and nothing else!

I can imagine this guy at his house.

"I hate my PS2! The DVD drive opens too fast!"

"And..??"

"Look!

Man opens drive. It opens faster than normal.

"See!"

"errr... does that really make any difference??"

"Well....no, it's just....too fast."
