Hot drinks discussion with no mention of Bovril. Embarrassing
And no mention yet of Marmite ... double embarrassing :¬D
A small hassle for regular football on terrestrial telly, I'm sure you'll agree.
Downloading Match of the Day 2, does anyone know why the BBC is so hideous with MOTD and MOTD2 on iplayer? MOTD doesn't even come out and MOTD2 take about three days.
White Malt Ovaltine (a sign of old age, perhaps?!).
You tried the 'Milk Chocolate Horlicks, Instant' yet, old young'un ?
:) I prefer the normal Horlicks to the Chocolate one and certainly not any of the instant ones, has to be with hot milk or not at all.

I shopped in Lidl today, mainly to see what was there, but also because it's the only place for getting White Malt Ovaltine (a sign of old age, perhaps?!).
On an unrelated note - where has the sudden rise of the word 'addicting' come from outside of the US? Everyone seems to be using it instead of addictive these days. Why replace a perfectly good word with something that doesn't sound right?
Ah, the classic urban myth. Haven't heard that in a while.
And why didn't I expect that from a 'self-confessed' fast-food addict ha ha but according to the following 'ancient information' :
"According to a survey conducted in 2002 by the German market research institute Forsa, 95% of blue-collar workers, 88% of white-collar workers, 84% of public servants and 80% of self-employed Germans shop at Aldi.[4] One of Aldi's direct competitors, both nationally and internationally, is Lidl."
I don't rest my case with such 'old info' but I do resent the implication that Lidl and any other 'foreign' supermarkets are sub-standard when compared to the dross that dominate the UK market ie Tesco, Sainsbury, Morrisons and Asda. The problem is...is with the 'market' - the 'run of the mill, easily persuaded person "don't do foreign stuff must be for pa**s" theory :¬(
And have your family not been living and perhaps eating in Spain for the last 6 weeks? Probably not been food shopping at M&S then. Could it have been at another much misunderstood and maligned supermarket - Spar!
The 'Spar supermarkets' in Greece can certainly teach most of ours loads - far better quality, produce and service :¬)
You should pay it a visit pb ... brilliant store. Have been shopping at Lidl for years, here and on the continent, excellent value and excellent produce.
There is a connection between Lidl and Aldi - something on the lines of 'family bust-up' and the wife opened Lidl and he continues with Aldi?
