This is the thread for general chat.

Tell us how your day was, say hello or just introduce yourself if you're new to the site.

Afternoon all ... what a day so far!

Up at 4.30am, picked up son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter at 6.30am, left for Heathrow at 6.45am and finally dropped them off at Terminal 3 at 9.40am :¬) Arrived home at 12.20pm.

Got to pick them up next week, but they land at 7.30am ... an even earlier start to the day!

Afternoon all.

Yesterday was left over mince pies at work, today someone brought in Stollen. It's like Christmas all over again.

Interestingly, I make a shopping list (on the side of the fridge, not the front) but only use that for the online main shop, so it just transfers over to our online shopping as soon as I can log in.

When doing a top up shop I make a quick list in the notes app of my phone; save paper.

Nice list DL... I'm going to print that out and stick it to the front of my fridge. Next to my shopping list.

An excellent idea from one of our founding members :¬)

I like the 'smartbin' approach!
Like chas, I have a 'brain dead' 31 yr old son at home and he too puts empty 'packets' back in the fridge!
A 'smartbin' that recognized input would be helpful, as it would be able to 'alert' him to the 'error of his ways' when he actually decides to throw something away! It could be simply be ...
"Heh, dude ... wrong choice ... recycling bin ... " etc etc

So now I propose a 'Men of Lists' Club ... and current members are:

DL
Chas
Dav

We won't do newsletters etc just yet, but we'll just bond for the time being until we have requests for membership ;¬)

I guess the smartbin needs some to do when it isn't logging what you throw away.

Yep. Was just playing about with the software to create them. Made a Dedsec one from Watch Dogs 2 as well but don't think that has gone live yet.

I like the Pac-Man watch face but the 'always on' digital clock for it is rather disappointing.

Talking of watches, when looking for watch faces the other day I came across a Master Chief watch face that had been created by a pblive. Is that you or an imposter?

Most likely a rogue "smart" appliance (a pedal bin, perhaps?).

Don't trust the things in your kitchen!
