Isn't that just like saying "I've got the physical DVD box set of The A-Team, so why can't I just watch that on my mobile rather than downloading a different version and paying again" (or copying it, which is still technically illegal)? Or "why can't I watch Game of Thrones on my non-Sky TV?"

Steam can only cope with games it has on its list and some companies don't play ball or haven't got an agreement with Steam.

Evening all ... echoes around the vast caverns of UnderFreeola ... same old 'gripe'. Steam and I suppose all of a similar ilk. Wanted to play Brink, I own the game, I've the physical DVD .... yet "No you can't, it's not available" .... can't have anything to do with BF3 as it's a 'non-steam' game but an 'unmentionable name' associated with EA and Origin! Sometimes I do wonder why we all bother to support games/download services/isps etc etc with our hard-earned money :¬(

and I won't say, ten years ago before the online explosion, all we did was buy a game, install and play it when we liked. If we chose to go 'online' that was an individual's choice...now...you have NO choice....no, I didn't say that

Assuming Alfonse didn't like the US office then.

It hasn't done really well coming back to UK screens time and again for no reason.

It was the best remake of a UK com they have ever done IMO. Is it perfect and will I go out of my way to watch it? Probably not, but it's ok, maybe even enjoyable when I do.

The US Red Dwarf however...

I did not care for the US version of the The Office at all myself, gave up on it after a couple of episodes. Perhaps if I had not seen the original then I may have felt different?

As for the US version of Top Gear, the episode I watched had 3 hot Lambo's in it and no Clarkson, what's not to like? Seriously, I did not think it was great but I was honestly expecting it to be a hell of lot worse.

I watched Top Gear USA when it premiered in america, I thought it was awful to be honest. The problem in my opinion is that they were trying to remake Top Gear as it is today and in doing so they skipped the evolution of the show. A large part of the UK show now is the camaraderie of the presenters which has been built up over time. The US version had 3 strangers behaving in this really forced manner pretending they were all best buddies. It wasnt pleasant.

The US Office is really good in my opinion. The concept is the same as the UK version but it does its own thing (as it should).

I've not watched any of it, but The Office US is supposed to be really really good.

None spring to my mind.

Talking of garbage, has anyone had the misfortune to hear any of the car crash that is the Metallica/Lou Reed collaboration?

It's not like we broadcast shows in English or America' constantly remaking British shows would be completely retarded

My personal favorite is their remake of Come Dine With Me.
Show Spoiler

Ha ha,very good.

I can see why some programs are remade though as the US and UK are totally different markets. In the case of Top Gear, the US car market is very different to ours. 9 Litre V12 Mustang Automatics that do 4 MPG strangely don't seem to sell all that well over here and I could imagine that the Americans may not take to Mr.Clarkson all that well. Also the humour in many British programmes probably needs to be altered for the US market. Think they are planning to remake The Inbetweeners, which I'm expecting the makers to ruin everything that was good about it and churn out some kind of American Pie the sitcom.

Serious question, have the Americans actually made a good remake of any British shows?
