I was 2 years old! But I think you mean...

Way to go Machie :¬)

BF3 MP is a different 'bird' SC ... lots of changes and you shouldn't rely on your experience with BF:BC2 to influence your decision. MoH MP has more in common with BF3 MP. But having said that, BF3 SP is absolutely stunning at times :¬)

I'm excited by Modern Warfare 3, I hear some people are already calling it the next Call of Duty!

Fair enough Chris, take it that it wasn't you that bought this then?

I won't be getting either at the moment anyway, next game up for buying is NHL 12, possibly Uncharted 3, and then Battlefield 3. What can I say? I haven't bought a new game for a couple of months.

A difficult decision to make SC if you've not played one of them!

I would agree with DL Chris, would be a plan if you could possibly play them both first. Speaking as a relative Battlefield newbie, I tried the multiplayer beta of BF3 and couldn't get into it at all. It's not rubbish but I would say it is something of an aquired taste. Would recommend try before you buy on that one. Also remember EA titles will be ''protected'' by an online pass so BF3 is probably not going to be worth picking up second hand and will be worth a fair bit less than MW3 if you decide to sell it on after redeeming the code.

Regarding MW3, Tesco are rumoured to be doing the console versions for £25 if bought with points. Might be worth keeping an eye on that as the early word on the game seems to be very positive. I'm planning on picking it up on Tues, will let you know what I think of it.

Single player is extremely engrossing, multiplayer is (not surprisingly) frustrating at times but some maps/game modes are excellent. A difficult decision to make SC if you've not played one of them!

Hopefully you'll find yourself with some free time over the next few weeks. I may need a little help with a huge pile of games coming my way.

(anyone else who fancies reviewing iOS games, has a fairly recent iPhone or iPod and can string a few words together well, is welcome to join in)
