after driving my current car pretty much every day for just over 5 years the time has come for us to part ways. Does anyone else feel a touch of sadness at these moments? It is by no means anything special, it's got quite a few things wrong with it and it is the cheapest car I've owned but I still got quite attached to it. Clearly not too attached though.
School meeting this morning, desperately trying to get the kids ready for school, not great.
Suppose it could be worse, it could be UKIP or some of the fringe parties.
What's filled now will surely be empty before then and at the moment, someone is taking in a large fortune with all this extra 'fuel consumption'
Hardly, it just means that all the fuel that would have been bought next week is being bought now, consumption will still be the same. The trouble will come in 10 days time when everyone runs out of fuel at the same time and there is none available because of a legitimate strike. Well done Conservatives * Slow clap *
Maybe this will be good in the long run. We need a big old crisis to collapse this government or at least public opinion turned massively against them so they don't win the next election.
It's ridiculous, this panic buying with no strike.
Think we all agree that this is well and truely laid at the Government's door following yesterday's 'announcements and comments regarding prudent measures'. For pities sake, the strike isn't due for another 8,9,10 days ... what's filled now will surely be empty before then and at the moment, someone is taking in a large fortune with all this extra 'fuel consumption'
In effect they're panic buying for a strike that legally cannot happen until 9th of April at the earliest. [/facepalm]
My car is only half full, but I'll go in when the stations are clearer.
DL, regarding crazy petrol stories, today I saw a guy fill up his car & then 2 x 20 litre jerrycan's. He came into the shop and said ''I'm not panic buying, I need it for my mower''. 40 litres of fuel to cut a lawn?, either he owns the biggest lawn in the country or I have witnessed the UK's first panic mower!
