But how much of that is under his control? He knows that if they push too hard the whole coalition will fall apart and will call for another election.
Exactly and the Conservatives don't want that either. Technically they're equal partners, the Lib Dems are simply unwilling to impose themselves in any way & have so fundamentally undermined themselves that come next election, they're dead in the water. I don't know what on earth they're thinking being so subordinate.

They brought it on themselves. They've been entirely spineless and unwilling to assert any authority, or rather their leader has. The party itself has been throwing a fit over Clegg's lack of leadership.[/i]

He is an incompetent chimp but at least he's well meaning. I'd trust him not to sell off national assets to his friends while lowering tax for millionaires.[/i]
We've not had a civil war since 1642 but sometimes this country needs to 'refresh' ... rather like re-installing Windows for a quicker system, albeit short lived ;¬)
I feel for the Lib Dems, they've pretty much been forced into decisions that go against their policies and the Conservatives have been happy to make them a scapegoat to cover their own disasters (well, until they got so big that everyone noticed).

I'd feel sorry for you guys but I've heard you've been hogging all the warm weather lately.
Google are becoming more annoying with their self promotion lately. They moved the recently closed button in chrome to put their store button.
someone is taking in a large fortune with all this extra 'fuel consumption'
57.19 PPL duty
An average of 29 PPL VAT
So around 86 PPL of the average current UK pump price is one form of tax or another. An enormous demand has been created for this product for no real good reason. So who do you think has made a 'large fortune' on this DL?
*PPL stands for pence per litre BTW*
I don't know whats going on. Whats with this talk of pasties and strikes? Why are the conservatives involved? Can someone please explain it to me? Preferably in the form of a limerick.
There was a man called Cam, an alleged pastie man, spoke like fool, made the public buy fuel on which he had taxed as much as he can.
It's 9AM Machie, I'm afraid that's the best that I can come up with :)
Regarding political gaffs, I think Ed Miliband's sausage roll buying PR stunt was the most cringeworthy thing that I have ever seen. After the week Cameron's government has had how did that clown manage to fail so spectacularly to capitalize? I'm no fan of either of them but if idiots like George 'catboy' Galloway are managing to get elected then I think that the major parties should be asking themselves some serious questions.
