Apparently, ours will be done in September this year, but whether it makes much difference to me further down the road, I'm not sure. The town is getting 10Mbps at the moment, but I live on the outskirts.

Hi Pb, sort of...
'Infinity' is just the name of BT Retail's fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) product.

So if someone has fibre based broadband available to them at their property they can choose from a number of ISPs that offer a FTTC product and don't have to choose 'BT Infinity'.

BT 'Wholesale/Openreach' still decide which exchanges to upgrade though, from stone age 20CN (me!) through to ADSL2+ and Fibre connections.

Morning.

BT are raising their Infinity speeds again. Doesn't really help me at all, as I'm stuck with a 2-3Mbps connection and I wouldn't touch BT with a barge pole.

I've heard that Infinity is a wholesale system so other ISPs could make use of this, though?

I come back here and it's all exciting.

Good luck to the daughter-in-law and look forward to the good news.

Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
