Morning. Looks pretty sunny out there again. Our plants at the back of the garden have attracted a shed load of honey bees, which is always good to see.

@DL - human greed and stupidity is shocking, but luckily matched by a surprising amount of compassion and kindness from others.

But on a more concerning note ... I've just finished watching The Fall of Singapore: The Great Betrayal on BBC2.

I am staggered that it has taken so long for 'such daming information' to be brought to public notice regarding events that caused millions to loose their lives needlessly, as it turns out, because of the actions of two greedy members of the then British Hierarchy who have thankfully now died, but their families still live on in ignorance ... I think not Semple and Rutland, shame on you all!

And do any of you find the following surprising:

"Secret papers released by the Public Records Office revealed that Lord William Francis Sempill, a Scottish aristocrat from one of Scotland's oldest landed families, was a traitor who sold British aviation secrets to the Japanese in the 1920's.
He conforms with the notion of the Scottish aristocracy being self-serving, devious, dishonest, artful survivors. Much of the current Scottish aristocracy can trace their good fortune to ancestors who killed, plotted and intrigued on behalf of masters who rewarded them with land and title.
But, to return to the most recently traitorous Lord Sempill. Apparently, the poor wee b*gger was financially embarrassed. This has to be put into some kind of context. The family home was Craigievar Castle. The family also owned a wee hoose, Fintray House, which when demolished in 1952, had enough granite to build another 12 sizeable properties"

Says it all :¬)

I'm surprised you didn't mention Edgy's Star Wars review DL. I thought that was the only submission so far.

The only Star Wars film or game I've ever enjoyed was the original film and the game Star Wars:Republic Commando apart from that I don't do Star Wars ;¬)

Well that's 3 reviews now, all great. Just had a chance to read through the other two and I reckon it'll be a difficult one to judge.

I actually enjoyed Edgy's Phantom Menace review more than the film. 13 years on and pain is still raw, never have I experienced such bitter cinematic disappointment. Darth Maul aside it was total garbage, Jar Jar, Trade Confederation nonsense, annoying kid...... the fail just never seemed to end.

Oh yeah, the Dead Island review by Chas was really good, well worthy of consideration in my humble opinion.

Sorry about slipping off into a blind Phantom Menace rant there, thought I would be over it by now but I guess not?

Well, I've written my Starhawk review. Wanted to take more time, really, but the task was set and I think the outcome isn't too bad.

Has to be 15th (Tuesday) onwards.

I'll see if I can come up with something. Played a fair few games recently, for a change.

Afternoon, just thought I'd mention -

There doesn't look to have been any submissions for the GAD prize tomorrow yet. If anyone is interested, submitting game cheats, a good game walkthough, or game review before the end of today would make you eligible.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
