Going to watch that Derren Brown show tonight. Enjoy his shows, despite the amount of horse manure that's in them.
Up early again to crack on with my project. Looking nearly finished now so hoping my supervisors are happy with it. I'm quite excited at the fact that I am writing a scientific paper that should likely be published, which should look great on my CV. Also happy as it gives me the experience I need ready to start my dissertation in the next week or so...
I have a few bits and bobs I need to do (easier now I don't have Jeremy Kyle to distract me...I swear that program is just a modern version of the colleseum...) and then off over to drop a card and present to one of my close friends.
I may, if time, try and finish off a few cases on L.A. Noire, a surprising good game!
Well, I'm now glad I missed that poundland programme. Was playing Battlefield 3 (have to start from scratch as I've moved to PS3) instead.
Get Louis Theroux into Netto next time.
'How Ironic' ... "by 2011, the 193 Netto stores were sold and converted to Asda stores, Morrison's stores and UGO stores and on 30th September 2011, Netto UK ceased trading."
He'll have a job, SC ;¬)
Watched the poundland show, seemed like a random half hour slot on advertising products in a particular way, which as far as I can tell, isn't just a 'poundland thing'. Really didn't feel like a well-crafted documentary at all. Get Louis Theroux into Netto next time.
Was weird going in there, the staff don't seem professional (overheard one conversation between staff about her not knowing which one of 4 colleagues was the father of her future baby, another saying that "I'll have him in the staff room later, I expect it to be a blood bath" and a final one member of staff trying to make her uniform a crop top...). Would be interesting to see what other stores are like!
Edit: update on the dog, all is ok. He has some sort of anti-parasite spray. So very pleased as I pretty much was ready to say my goodbyes when they took him to the vet!
