Currently at Exmouth Carnival.

Actually, currently IN Exmouth Carnival. I took the kids to a float they were on and somehow got involved. Waiting to go out to the public.

And we just got 1st prize!

I had exactly the same problem with my Mrs. in the end I went for a Yamaha sound projector, no extra wires or speakers and it decodes HD audio, does a really good job of chucking sound around the room to be fair but my Mrs. was still not happy, she constantly moans that it's too loud! Apparently if you have lots of soft furnishings around they don't work very well and it wasn't cheap, other than that I would recommend them.[/i]

I had a Yamaha YSP900. It was good when I first got it, back when there were no kids and no extra boxes, pianos or other stuff in the room. It wasn't as good as true surround, but it worked. Then, over time, kids, boxes and all sorts started filling the room and since then it just can't cope with providing any sort of surround sound.

Or just do it, let Mrs Pb protest, and crank up the surround sound so you can't hear her :-) God help future Mrs Sonic...

Morning,

Daughter has made a full recovery, just in time for being in the carnival tonight. Still can't go swimming today, though, because their rules say no swimming for 48 hours after they've been sick.

Also should be changing my old sound bar to a proper 5.1 system thanks to a few trade ins at the Sony Centre paying for it. It was going well until the wife said she wasn't happy having wires everywhere. Now I risk having her moaning vs having actual surround sound that works.

Morning.

Youngest was ill yesterday, had to hop on a bus and pick her up from school before lunch. Woke us up in the middle of the night with a fever and hallucinations.

Which means I'm really tired this morning and have a headache. Oh, and she's still being sick, but coping ok because she's sat with a blanket on the sofa watching Dumbo.

For some reason I read Mrs Goggins' voice in the style of Mrs Brown (from Mrs Browns Boys, not Queen Victoria).

I think I just really like the name Goggins.
