Good afternoon

Just waiting until my desire to eat Nandos overpowers my desire to watch Take Me Out in my Jajas

I prefer to do the environmentally friendly thing and let the tree decompose in my living room

Hah, I just can't deal with numbers at the moment. In my defence I did say it was the day before I had to go back to work, which it is. :)

So, who has taken their Christmas tree down? We're leaving ours until Christmas is finished (traditionally, at least). On 8th.

Traditionally the decorations are 12 days before and 12 days after, which is always Epiphany .... the 6th of January! You'll be 2 days late in your 'traditional' household.

Nope.

Last day of Christmas is 6th, as you pointed out, which is tomorrow. So decorations stay up for that. They go down the next morning, when Christmas finishes. The 8th was just a slip by me typing on my phone. Meant 7th. It's also the last day before I go back to work.

Parents took the decorations down while I was away.

Can't stand traditions myself. If everyone followed traditions throughout history, new ways of doing things wouldn't come about. You could argue the other way I suppose that we then wouldn't celebrate anything...

Put it this way, I was determined to have a Chinese banquet on Christmas Day just to do something different, otherwise life just gets boring...

You mean like a roast dinner on Sunday or supporting a football team? :D

Mini Eggs are alright though but I tend to scoff shedloads of the damn things once I open a bag/tube of them.

:D

I don't think I've ever left a bag/tube of mini eggs half finished they all go in one!

I've been a member of these forums for nearly 6 years now but somehow I'm still classed as a newbie!

Good to see some activity on here and to see old faces returning.

Christmas decorations still up, CBA to take them down and should probably consider losing the santa avatar too.

Always found Creme Eggs sickly as hell TBH, Mini Eggs are alright though but I tend to scoff shedloads of the damn things once I open a bag/tube of them.

Begone from these forums!
