We now have snow by the bucket load ... but the roads are clear as I write ;¬)
Surprised a Freeola Sci-Fi geek hasn't mentioned this:
... stunning
Still raining here, hasn't stopped all day. Just wondering if the snow will arrive later or not.
Not stopped all day here either, but snow wasn't forecast until 10 ish tonight ... but seems to have been pushed now into Monday and Tuesday!
Never mind, my relations in Concord are having a bucket full and one of them has featured on the front page of The New York Times, skiing in Concord Main Street with his dog ... he's a good lad :¬)

Which is why 'power surge' lit up in big pink neon letters in my head. It's that, or gremlins. Have you been feeding cute creatures after midnight again?
Probably should have mentioned that once rebooted, I discovered that the BIOS on the cards had been overwritten.. Not corrupted, but actually overwritten, so I don't think its a power surge.
My cat did have some late night treats a while ago, and he's really cute!:-)[/i]
Ah, CIH style bios writing virus, perhaps?
Chucking it down with rain here, good job it's not a bit colder or we'd be snowed in!
Supposed to get a bit later on though but whether it'll settle with the ground being wet is another thing.

If so have you a chance to 'flash the bios'? Like here:
