Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain.
Don't fret pb, it's only your moderate south-western climate that's causing that ... one day you'll move into the 'Ice Age' zone ;¬)
Looking at the forecast we're supposed to get 20-40cm overnight and more tomorrow so I think I'll be having a weekend in!
Snowing again here, although it's that really fine stuff that just seems to blow about in the wind and never lands.
Just wind and rain here at the moment, rained a lot last night and there are amber warnings for floods, but looks ok so far today.
Thanks for the Fibre info Hmmm... And DL, just interested in it at the moment, no chance of upgrading until they've done our exchange and local cabinets anyway and that's looking like June time. That's when I'll probably more ISPs assuming that O2 don't move over to Sky any sooner.
Morning all ... everything is now fine pb, even with the heavy snowfall earlier this morning ... about 2 inches in places but roads are 'slushy' now :¬)
Morning all.
Same here, started about 10-30pm last night and when I got up there was about 4 inches of the white stuff.
Roads are slushy as well but it's so bitterly cold and the wind bites through you that where people / vehicles haven't run over it it's staying put, plus th sky is really black so I think we're gearing up for a bit more.
Plus it's taken Sky out :(
Unrelated question; Is Fibre more reliable than the copper cable connection? At first it was heralded as the answer to all woes, but I hear of issues even with that.
Hi pb,
Fibre is more 'reliable' than copper as in it doesn't get affected by noise or loss of signal like copper does. So will provide much faster connections.
BUT it can still be cut or damaged and obviously all it's doing is connecting up 'puters & switching kit etc. which can all go pear-shaped!
