Following a reasonable journey to Sheffield with granddaughter this morning ... weather-wise, an absolute nightmare return earlier this afternoon! Rain on the M1 doesn't bother me at all ... but congestion because of the Download Festival does!!! I happen to live 4 miles south of the site and getting home was abysmal!
Why put the Festival in such an inaccessible position ... one road in and that's it!
Morning all!
The access to Donnington Park is atrocious - and right next to East Midlands Airport as well!
Last year some friends of mine, not realizing the Download Festival was on, booked to go on holiday at the same time and fly from EMA - bad idea!
Someone was dropping them off and in the end they had to get out of the car just off the A50 and walk, with all their luggage, to the airport. Luckily they had left a lot of time to get there so they made their flight but as the plane was half empty many missed it.

After heavy rain and thunder and lightening this afternoon it's a nice evening here now.
Bet its Origin of Symmetry. I say bet, but no actual money :p
and you'd be right. Though I did have the choice of Showbiz, Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations and The Resistance.
Late bus again. But then looks like I've got a late finish, anyway.
Gives me a chance to listen to an old Muse album, at least.
Another 14 Steam games re-downloaded today, playing Borderlands 2 on my PC last night.
