Received my herbal smoking mixture in the post today, just waiting for my pipe to arrive too, and perhaps I can enjoy some of these warm evenings instead of watching rubbish on the TV (although it'll probably start raining now!)
A bit cooler this morning, which I found out when getting off the bus with my short sleeved shirt on. Should warm up nicely for lunch time, though.
Spending today trying to break a world record on Wii Sports. Going for the longest distance home-run in baseball, have been trying for about the past year, have managed to equal it in the past, but that counts for nothing.
Is it not a killer playing on that in this weather Chris?
Late yesterday, my youngest son - granddaughter's dad - 'decided' to smash his thumb with a hammer at work! Slightly later, Mrs DL and daughter-in-law decide to 'power-walk'! Mrs DL returns with foot pain!
Earlier this morning and independantly, both have visited the local Urgent Care Unit and received the good news ... fractures!
Meanwhile, me, has been back and forth to said UCC 4 times with Millie and then to my son's work for him to complete H&S requirements!
Mrs DL has now another fracture in her foot, to match the one she got in Boston,Mass.! and has two weeks of rest!
Me, I'm tired (really spelt with a 'k') and I've granddaughter again tomorrow!
Last man standing as usual ... they always rely on granddad.
But I did receive a new Razer gaming mat today as I'd burn't the other one out! This one is the Sphex! That's three mats in a year! So may need to test it later :¬)
Just been watching the Ashes, England all out for 215 but Australia 22-3 in reply!

Exhausting day, but a nice change and I got to help out with the Sports Day training, so got some sun and fresh air, too.
"Sports Day training" ... now that is surprising within a primary school these days!
Remember an incident, years ago now, when my family was 'stalked' by an irate parent because they had been on holiday for two weeks and arrived back the evening before 'Sports Day' and all 'training' had completed and his children were effectively not eligible to participate. The phone calls were extremely abusive and threatening. How I loved the old 'Sports Days' ;¬)
It's all done in teams now, so the team gets the points rather than an individual. It's a good compromise between competition-based sports and the often loathed non-competition based Sports Day where no-one wins or loses. Also teaches the benefits (and pitfalls) of teamwork.
But the training is really more so the kids know what to do, where to stand and how to take part. Mind you, with current laws anyone taking time off in term time is doing so illegally and most school are fining parents for this now (or will be in September)
Cloudy here but really humid at the minute.
