Very true, people have also been complimentary about the decor so that makes me more pleased .. so I'll keep going with the hallway :)

I too have given up and am now hoovering up the cocai..dust ;)

Just put my hand on the wall to steady myself and straight into wet polyfiller .. doh .. refil the wall ...

Well at least you get the pleasure of looking at the end product and saying proudly 'I did that' :)

I've quit for the day as I still need to go to the supermarket and pet store. Back at it tomorrow.

Well I've managed so far to do the rest of the house with little help, a few pointers from the parents and a bit of help with the painting but the rest I've done on my own.

Don't want to give up now :)

Oh dear, sounds like mine .. I've stopped for a bit and will probably miss going to B&Q today, tomorrow is always a good idea.

I'm sure you'll get the programs working in the end :)

It may seem better to do it yourself... if you can do it. Personally I'd rather pay someone first to do all that preparation stuff and paint it. Then I could just paint over it next time :)

Work is going painfully slow. I have to learn how to use two new programs to get it up and running properly. Just basic useage but it is a pain none the less :(

Yeah I know it's my own fault but hey why pay someone when you can do a job yourself? :)

Although the time is the major factor here .. fill walls, rub down, wash walls off, fill walls with better stuff, wait to dry (24hrs), rub walls down, refill .. rub all paintwork down, touch up any small holes, rub down again .. it's just endless :(

I've almost run out of the thick polyfiller stuff so it looks like a trip to B&Q for me this afternoon, might see if I can get some thinner stuff that can just be painted on .. must be alot easier ..

If you'd made a really, really bad job of decorating the first time you did it then your lass would insist that you just stayed on the computer out of the way while she either did it or got a decorator in :D

heh .. I know what you mean about getting on with work, I keep getting distraced by the computer .. you can tell I'm really into this decorating lark :)

Would be ok if there wasn't so much preparation to do :(

I'm in the office to do uni work not 'work' work but I, as usual, cannot get going with the damn work. Roll on June.

I'm currently covered in dust, been sanding down the walls in the hallway .. it's like a cocaine convention there :)

Gonna take a long time to clear that all up :(

Better get back to slapping some more filler on the walls .. sighs.
