Poor Grixy, you're safe in here hopefully. I'm also feeling rather on edge and defensive and i've no idea why.

Very tense today. Didn't sleep well last night, in a rather defensive/emotional mood (esp with Celarkestinoxieina quite determined to get at me again) and I'm coughing to the point of making myself throw up. I'm feeling rather sorry for myself today. Waahh

Raw downloaded last night though, so I can watch that tonight, yay

Morning,

It wasn't exactly one of the worst but it came a close second :)

What about you? Did you have a nice weekend, all relaxing and everything? I won't be jealous if you had.... well not much anyway.

I think you've covered most of what i was going to say. You've more freedom when you're older but you dont have the freedom of mind to enjoy it and you never will.
Being an adult, you can never get away from expectations, pressures etc. Adults aren't natural things like children are, they've been moulded into something else. I really believe the happiest moments in adults lives are when they've reverted back to simple pleasures of human nature, like when they're children.
All the freedoms of the adult world cant make up for having lost just being you without anything else. Thats only personal opinion.
I think i've gone completely off point.

Why would anyone want to be an adult?
Personally when i was a child i believed that adults were perfect, fair, grown up. It was a target i set myself because i couldn't stand the kids my own age with a few exceptions. Of course Adults are less than perfect, infact theyre clearly worse as they have far more stuff to be childish about. Growing up proved to be a big disappointment for me which is why now i'd love my childhood back.
It's a horrible cliche but children are pure and natural and it's a shame they're so hurried into losing their souls to the world.

Gah thats brought up something that really gets under my skin somehow. Does anyone else feel bombarded by people trying to sell you something? Whether it's an toaster, a pc, an idea, a belief. I'm so sick and tired of people not being allowed to make up their own minds and it's utterly inescapable. I walk out the door and see the church opposite (idea) i get on the bus and above my head are signs about courses (life), i go into town and everyone has something to sell. I know it's inevitable but sometimes i really wish i could just go and live in the woods away from all this unnecessary pushing and pulling because it's started to drive me nuts.

When did people stop thinking for themselves? Seriously when did it happen, i've spoken to so many people over the last couple of years, talking about all manner of things and when you try to get them to explain something they dont seem to be able to without referencing something else which they then show no understanding of.
I think i'm just ranting now. Where is that quote

"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense."
Buddha

I seem to remember Nietzsche saying something along the same lines but i cant remember it exactly.
Gah people are idiots! I'm going to bed
These little rants are quite therapeutic. Thankyou Ms D

Why on Earth would anyone want to be an adult? Sure thing so you don't get talked to like a child anymore, but what fun is there in being an adult?
Wait.. here comes the opposing mind.
You get to buy cigarettes, have sex, drive, drink alkeehol. How old do you have to be to drive an artic? 25? Yeah, exciting! No really.. Drive down the wrong side of the motorway Matrix Reloaded style.
But that's all. Oh, and travel. Earn money, pay more out, own a house, fall in love, get married, have children, divorce, love again, have fun, memories, learn new things. Feel more, know more, [sssssssshSH] I'm totally going against what I originally thought. Maybe it is better to be an adult afterall. I suppose you just have to mix it all together. If you're not enjoying yourself, go and be childish and do the silly things which make you feel warm inside and remind you of when you had no responsibilities. But then you have to return as always.
Hmm. Children are care-free assuming you've got at least one mentally healthy parent, t'is nice.

Meh I'm fed up with thinking now, it always sounds so moany.
Ok then, goodnight now. Have a cheerful day today.

Get a cheap midi one and plug it into your computer.

There's basically a limitless amount of sounds available to you when you do that.
