And pete, ever seen S.O.A.D? They're my favourite band, yet I've heard they're awful live.

Yeah, I saw them just before they went on their 'infinite hiatus' (which didn't end up being that infinite after all!) and they were very disappointing. Whatever was going on between Serj & Daron at that time they clearly struggled to keep it off stage. I know a couple of people who have seen SOAD since they 'returned' and said they were a lot better. I was just so disappointed as I had waited ages to see them and the tickets were very expensive. I honestly didn't expect that band to produce what came across as being something of a half assed performance. Saying that if they do decide to pull their fingers out of their backsides and record some decent new material I would be prepared to give them a second chance.

X Farter eh, would that be judged by Simon Bowel...?

My parents always say "We just like laughing at the auditions" but they always watch the entire thing. I used to find the auditions quite amusing when they were genuine auditionees, then they starting seeking out the biggest weirdos they could find on purpose. It's got the all the drama of Coronation Street, more blatant scripting than Top Gear and less talent than one of my dog's farts (just combining the two topics below).

And pete, ever seen S.O.A.D? They're my favourite band, yet I've heard they're awful live.

One of the group coming with us to see Sylosis is about 50 odd (he's seen them a few times already), hope I'm like him at that age and not sitting in my rocking chair with my pipe and slippers listening to some mundane crap like Snow Patrol. Never did stuff like Cannibal Corpse, they were just a bit too much for my fragile ears! Do like some 'softer' stuff as well, Nightwish are great and I'm loving the new ReVamp album (actually listening to it right now). Seen most of the current Kerrang favourites at some point or another (Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon etc.) didn't care for any of them. Music choice is a very personal thing, one persons drink will always be anothers poison.

Anyone looking forward to the new series of The X Factor? It starts tonight.....apparently.

Morning.

Who ever thought finding a puppy could be so difficult. So many warnings of who to buy from.

I remember the days when you went to a pet shop, but then I guess they weren't so well looked after...

What breed are you looking for pb? Not that I have any relevant information, just asking is all.

Clever name ... 'killing of a god'[/i]

Yes indeed, quite controversial at points, they had album covers banned and alike. However in the last few years I haven't listened to them, too much noise for me at my grand old age...

I was always a fan of a fairly local band called Sanctorum. Haven't heard a bean from them recently but they were along the same lines in terms of style.
