Dear Seraphim,
The purpose of this is to convey to you my sincere apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced Yesterday with respect to the fictitious name I called you.
The only possible explanation I can give is that I was simply joking around, which might have resulted in your person being offended.
Consequently, I would like to once again extend my apologies to you, possibly even sweetening the deal with some flowers by mail and/or some mail order chocolates of your choice.
Because of this unfortunate misunderstanding, and as a testament to my respect of you as a dear friend, I would also like to offer to take you to dinner. the offer is open, should you choose to accept it, just let me know of a time suitable to you and it will be arranged.
Seraphim, let me assure you that what happened Yesterday was not meant to be taken seriously. Had I known it would be deemed offensive, I would never have posted it. It was meant in a light-hearted manner and I am so sorry it was misconstrued.

At least me and Lucy go together and it's all new to us at the moment so that keeps things interesting. I'd probably get bored really quick if I went on my own though.
