Another busy day, but at least I got Kitkat on my Nexus (I knew I shouldn't have been playing with it and eating lunch at the same time)...

Decided to wipe it and refresh after installing the new OS, make things run a bit faster and get rid of some of the apps and stuff I rarely use.

Morning. It seems my PS4 order will not arrive on the release date, but definitely "before Christmas". I'm not too fussed, as I did change the pre-order a bit late to the Knack bundle, seeing as it worked out a little cheaper with the game.

It was interesting yesterday to see my local Morrisons stocking the Xbox One, and marking it up to £449 for some reason. I didn't see any games in there though, so I don't know what margin they are putting on those.

Anyway, I shall continue with my work. Good day to all!

Another weekend flown by. Back at work now, waiting for Thursday night and the next midnight launch.

People complaining siblings/roommates etc. keep shouting ''Xbox turn off'' when they're playing.

Thanks pb ... that's what I thought ... but the 'move' has continued into most of today aswell ;¬) Two trees, uprooted and re-planted and Millie returned, in one piece, to her parents ;¬) Only one more day before we have her back aswell.

Kinect is so integrated into the OS that a Kinectless machine just wouldn't be worth doing.

Yes, I should be getting both. Took a huge amount of old stuff to CEX and GAME and got enough to cover the whole of the Xbox one and half way to a PS3 Killzone pack in GAME. Now need to get as much trade in as I can to help with the other half before Friday.

As for games, there's enough for now. Nothing ground breaking, but that's typical for a launch.

Thought you were buying a PS4 pb or did you buy both consoles? What are your initial impressions? Looks to me like there's a distinct lack of 'must have' titles for both new consoles right now but that will obviously change throughout 2014. Still not overly bothered about either of them at the moment but I suspect that will probably change once some decent next gen exclusives start to appear. Also I wouldn't be surprised to see a cheaper Kinectless version of the Xbox One appear in the not too distant future.
