Been raining most of the day here and unfortunately Ilkeston Carnival parade was cancelled due to the field they put the stalls on being waterlogged, which is a real shame as it brings about 3,000 people to the town and is a real boost to the local economy.
Dull, wet, and windy here today which is a shame as it's the Ilkeston Carnival parade this lunchtime so they look like they're in for a soaking.
Got sport all day today so I'll be tucked up inside nice and dry.
Not an unexpected result in the election, may just wake up the 'decision makers' ...
Been a lovely day here, blue skies and sunshine since early this morning and still nice and warm at the minute.
Interesting election result indeed, May's snap election decision has backfired on her big time and it will be interesting to see how the Tories work with the DUP.

Morning.
Well that was an interesting result.
Weather-wise, it's fairly sunny looking so far.
Interesting is never a word I use to describe politics :) But hopefully the results up here put independence talk to bed, if only for a while.
Weather wise, it is less wet than yesterday but still very wet.

Calm day in the Yard until a bit of 'moisture' at noon ... but nothing since!
Went to vote straight after work, had to use the car! We live 50 yds from a Polling Station but we live 'on the wrong side of the road' so we had to travel 1 1/2 miles to 'our designated Polling Station'!!! Now that is just one gripe I have with our 'democracy'!
It's also just struck me at the lack of 'security' at the Polling Station ... I don't mean armed Police etc etc but the Polling Card that you receive through your door isn't actually needed to vote! You just turn up and tell them your address and name...here's your voting slip!
I know exactly where a lot of my friends need to go to vote and their names and addresses ... so think about that ;¬)
In this day and age, some form of ID or even the Polling Card should be a requirement to actually vote.
Busy old day so far, drizzly mostly today, though I've only been dashing to the car and back a few times, so not too bad. Mostly in the school or at home working today.
Stormy day here, chucking it down and really windy to boot so I'll be staying in today.
