Came back from the family gathering (for my parents 50th anniversary) last night, knackered this morning but just about getting through the day. It was a good weekend, at least, lots of relatives I never usually get to see and all my cousins' kids.
it seems my time working from home has taken a step closer to ending - the landlord has been told we are moving. We don't actually have anywhere to move to yet but I'm sure that is a minor problem.
The 'Hallowed Halls of Freeola' are hushed ...
Not a bad weekend so far ... dancing duties yesterday and managed to cut the lawn as well. Quiet and peaceful day today as Mrs DL has gone to Sheffield to see her mother and eldest son has gone to watch the Wednesday friendly against Rangers ... not a good outcome for Wednesday, but never mind ;¬)
North Korea are at it again and Trump seems to be responding true to form ... the world is full of comedians at the moment.
Glad that I'm back in the Yard tomorrow, rain or shine, there will be fun to be had with a modicum of mayhem perhaps but all will be well :¬)
Have a good evening all ...
As usual, been pretty busy recently.
Quiet in the Hallowed Halls tonight, has anybody heard from Garin or Mackie?
Been raining off and on here, though I've not been out of the house today to see it. Still pretty warm and muggy though.
so wet and miserable out there today that I've had to put the lights on.
This is my last day of peace and quiet before my wife and daughter return tomorrow. The text message this morning said they had trouble sleeping as it was so warm - not sure they are going to have that issue back home.

I didn't think there would be much chance. I can understand the parents wanting to do everything they could but when they said in their statement that they could have been sitting with a perfectly well boy if they'd have been allowed to go, you know that they were just kidding themselves about how well any treatment would work.
He'd already had massive brain damage before any treatment was offered. It's sad, certainly, and there's still a debate about whether the doctors should have allowed them to try and seek treatments elsewhere, but we don't know all the facts and decisions. Those threatening the staff should be ashamed of themselves.
So true pb, no matter how you look at the situation and lot of damage had been done. As for threatening staff ... despicable!
