Evening all and pb ...

Thomas Land was an experience! Had been to Drayton Manor years ago with coach loads of children but how has it changed!

Granddaughter loved it from the start. She kissed James and Thomas and was most disappointed when she couldn't find Percy, her favourite! He was in the sheds being repaired!

She went everywhere and on every ride with one or two of us, selected by her of course ;¬) We had a nice picnic lunch, provided by nanna, and then continued around Thomas Land.

At the end of the day, granddaughter really enjoyed herself and that is why we went. But to have paid £86 for pre-paid e-tickets, compared to £182 on the day, I suppose I got off lightly ;¬)

As you all will know, the 'cost' within such centres is also 'top dollar'.

Still a great day was had by the one it was intended for and she'll have a great birthday tomorrow ... except my knees certainly know they've been abused today :¬D

Morning.

Foot is improving now. Working from home to give it some rest again but hopefully I'll be able to go into the office tomorrow instead.

Evening DL.

Busy day, kids only just going to bed after a later-than-expected end to swimming. Might have time to reply more when it's all settled down a bit.

See pete has been 'around' ;¬) May have to look into changing my account connection but I will probably call Freeola Support first.

Big day tomorrow ... we're off to ThomasLand at Drayton Manor Park. It's about 30 mins away from here, but for granddaughter's birthday treat we'd all probably go a lot further away in the future! (I hope!) Weather has 'dropped' somewhat during today, but tomorrow looks dry, fine but cooler.

Evening all and pb ...

Spent the morning 'fixing' a friend's motormower and then re-fitting window blinds!

New PC is a dream as is Mrs DL's new laptop. Windows and back door have been on the 'list' for years but you get the money and job done.

No more 'upgrades' for us now, this'll do us until we're playing harps ;¬) Just got to sort a 'new kitchen' for granddaughter's parents and that's it. I can sit back and relax and play games to my heart's content ... and Mrs DL can do whatever she wants;¬)

Just watched Freeview Channel 90 CBSAction ... some great old programmes ... Matlock and then Bonanza! I think Bonanza was a direct influence on the original Thunderbirds ... defo!

Afternoon.

So new PC and new Windows to go with it, I guess, DL!

We had ours done last year as one had a massive crack in and the door needed replacing too. Still paying for it.

Currently in the car after eldest' Piano lesson. Luckily no swimming today, though it's tomorrow during the BBC F1, which is annoying as it's not even live so I'm going to have to avoid results even longer until I can get to see it.

Evening all ...

Sorry pb but have not had a chance all day to get near a pc :¬( Had all our upvc windows replaced today and a new back door. Started early this morning, Mrs DL couldn't stand what was happening, so went to daughter-in-laws for the day. Left with two fitters, who I know, then a third arrived, who I also know and then another two arrived ... so we had a party :¬D They left about 4 ish and I'm well pleased with their work. Have always had them in the last few years ... an excellent firm.

So, happy but tired and broke ;¬)
