I got a colleague to attempt to crack the password system but she was as rubbish as me. I had to raise a support ticket, once I worked out how to do that.
Turns out I changed my password at 8:45am. Silly me didn't understand that all the error messages telling me my password wasn't acceptable actually meant "well done, you have changed your password" .
I got the pleasure of changing it again, not that it asked to like it was supposed to. And not that bothered to confirm the change again.
The main thing to take from all of this is that I'm utterly confused and I may or may not be able to login to our system next week.

And on top of that they actually want you to remember it! It seems like a stupid idea when passwords get so complicated that you have to actually write them down somewhere which, in turn, should be password protected...

been working from home today to avoid the winter weather fun and games after seeing a Volvo 4X4 struggle in my street. Unfortunately it is also the day my daughter has a few friends round after school so the volume has risen dramatically. And apparently there has been a murder in my house.

the dreaded drive to work in the winter conditions started today. My street is always rather icy and watching the speed people were taking the bend right by my house was interesting. It is pretty much a 90 degree bend but it seems we have a lot of rally drivers here.
