The Royal Mail thing is pathetic. As if the job is that bad.

I drink down my local snooker hall which is located exactly opposite to the royal mail sorting office in out town. So a lot of them come in obviously after their shift finishes (at about 13:00 maybe)

They all seem happy people but moan at the slightest thing. From talking to a few it seems they actually get pretty good money already. And the hours are pretty good if you like early mornings, if not..... don't be a post worker clearly.

Amazon are just playing to customer's requirements, if they thought a ton of people in the States would buy more by lowering the minimum price I guess they would.

I thought the £5 minumum was pretty good, remember when it was higher, but now you don't even need to spend £5 to get free delivery.

Let's face it, though, the free delivery isn't all that fast and how many things are you going to want to order for under £5? Saying that, I got free delivery on my recent Blu-rays and they all came within 3 days of ordering. Last one came today.

With all these strikes it gives the impression that they are extremely underpaid and over worked. I don't know whether thats the case, but from what we heard from Kawada it seems they have it pretty easy.

I saw today that Amazon are offering free shipping on everything. How come our usual minimum order is now £5 and yet in America it's $25?

They strike all the time, it is so annoying. They know the deal when they take the job!

AVG say they have now fixed it:
"UPDATE.... It's now been ascertained that it was actually a false positive. Please update the AVG on your system."

I think they had to back down as they had borked a lot of people and a lot of sites!

Thanks Hmmm, I sent them an email and they said they're rushing to get it sorted and update AVG sometime today.

@pb,emmie isn't there a post strike on now or real soon?

It looks like a GEO-IP 'thing' - AVG believe it's a vulnerability so are taking action!

It's affecting a number of people with AVG, FireFox and Linkscanner.

Posts over on the AVG and Mozilla support forums...

It's blocking all of yahoo.co.uk, how can that be. Stupid software.

Oh well I'll just download and watch new Mythbusters and South Park then.
