Good morning!

How are you all today? I'm feeling overly drained - literally feel as though sleeping at work may be an unavoidable option this morning! Tried in vain to drink a mug of coffee but it's not working!

Was interesting to see that the bus was on time today and due to lack of traffic, I've made it into work 15 minutes earlier than expected. More freeola time for me!

Oh and Emmie...72% of the upgrades for the stronghold now. If I could find more than 20 minutes of xbox time a day it would be much higher! lol

Like PB, I found looking at the map in Burnout spoiled things a little, if left to my own devices I'd end up going the long way so I'd usually have to follow the AI cars and then shoot past them at the end. I did really enjoy the game though apart from this one little gripe.

I think I've grown to like Burnout Paradise. I was a big fan of the early Burnout games, 1, 2 and 3 and I even liked the first 360 game despite its faults, but the open plan Paradise seemed to go against the whole arcade racing feel.

It was a pain having to either look at the map all the time or memorise a route, but I think I've got used to it now. Certainly finding posters and beating times are all good fun.

Morning everyone.

I have finally decided to get out of bed, having laid there for the last 2 hours knowing that at some point i'd have to brave the cold and the crowds in York for birthday and christmas shopping. Although I wish i'd stayed in bed, post arrived with my game rental still not here and two gas bills.

Burnout Paradise is one of my favourite games from this generation of consoles so far (so much so that I was actually happy to start again so that I could achieve the glitched online trophies that arose from the bike addition) and there are few games that I have enjoyed as much as BP. Criterion definately did things right, and i'm very much interested in seeing how their upcoming entry to the Need For Speed franchise turns out.

Morning.

Hopefully devs will learn to put online high scores and stats in to games.

Burnout Paradise was the perfect game for stats, it's far easier to measure against other people than Achievements and specific to that game, plus they had their own website to check against your friends when not in the game.

Good morning.

I'm hanging...quite literally. Roll on 3 or 4pm Xmas Eve. Think it's a case of overworking and having a cold brewing.

Worked for a few hours on my website and published a past investigation. I think the report pages look instantly professional - not down to me - but naturally into the preset theme in Instant Pro. Still working away at typing up my report from Friday. Took ages to write, but the typing should be done later and up on site soon!

Did a bit more on AC2 last night - slowly getting there. Still in Venice, but found 20% of the feathers now - will have to go back in to find the rest. In the debate with the achievements/trophies, I enjoy them. I always have. I like complete sets and if I can get an achievement, I'll go for it.

I used to be in it for score (I battled someone at Game for top spot on GamerScore) but now I just want to 100% games. 12 done so far and would like to get my 13th very soon...I find this enjoyable and frustrating at the same time!

Morning everyone - hope your all well, probably the coldest morning so far, i always forget how much i dislike de-icing my car and waiting for it to warm up lol.

Starting to wind down for Christmas which is good, and should hopefully grant me some more time on the Xbox (and ps3 when i get it)

Did some more L4D2 last night and got a few more achievements! I like what they add to the game and wonder what they will turn them into next? What is the next step from achievements.....

I love achievements. Thinking back to my PS2 era, i had fun, but there wasn't anything to show for my work. Yes, i could say i completed the game, but so had loads of other people. Achievements require some extra dedication to achieve, so there nice to get :) And there also optional, and technically, they're not required to complete the game, so i say keep them in. They give you more things to do :D
