I thought it only affected the 'old style' consoles? All the slim ones don't have this feature from what I remember (not on mine for definite). Still, even though I have a slim model I got this update this morning even though it doesn't seem to affect me!

You are correct. Someone did indeed announce that they'd found a way to access pretty much all of the PS3 with a backdoor.

However, Sony could have patched it instead of this rather huge measure of removing a feature which some people bought a PS3 for originally. I can see plenty of fuming Playatation owners who use Linux.

Well, Gasheads know that we stick through the bad times as well as the good. We are constantly ridiculed and lied to and we still go week in week out (although maybe it's because we are stupid, not loyal!).

I'll get my peace and quiet when on MW2 online :p Oh wait...annoying children with headsets...ah...

Afternoon guys, being back at work isn't all it's cracked up to be. Had the last two days off due to me both going to see Channel4's Comedy Gala at the O2 on Tuesday (on TV Monday I believe) and having a random day off yesterday (with no internet as it turned out due to major BT issues).

Thought I would settle down to watch an enjoyable game of football last night, and it was looking that way until Arsenal made a comeback :( Oh well, at least they got a kicking :)

@HM: How is being a Gashead a positive trait in a girl? I tend to try to avoid girls who admit to liking football, how else are you supposed to get peace once in a while?

Morning everyone, I think it's safe for me to enter the internet with British April Fool's Day only having 10 minutes remaining of legitimate time. Just installing Firmware 3.21...which...removes Install Other OS feature. I can only guess that Sony figured someone was close to exploiting it to run pirated games.

In other news, BT guys have finished replacing the faulty wires, so my broadband stability and clearness of the phone line should have dramatically improved, although, how they didn't find the fault in the last 6 months is beyond me. And, earlier on the same day that BT came around and discovered a serious fault on the line (so much so that they had the line cut immediately to protect the box outside), Sky had phoned and said they had tested the line and it was absolutely fine.

Finished Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in what to me took far too long due to my social life getting in the way two days ago. So today I can get down to some Heavy Rainage.

after snow at the start of the week it's now bright sunshine and warm.

Finished Heavy Rain last night... thoroughly enjoyed that. I'll be going back to work in the other endings soon.

I have not been playing MW2 at all for a long while. Just drifted away, too many other games lol. Need to try do some SEGA racers and send that back, want Just Cause 2 to turn up, looks fun.

All 4 days off for me too! And I had 4 days off last weekend for my birthday - so 3 day week :D

And next week I have the Friday off too, so another 3 day week week!

MW2 double XP weekend too on Live, so expect me to level up quickly now!
